Activities
WALKING / HIKING
For a casual nature walk, explore the Betty Ford Alpine Garden, the Village Streamwalk & Botanic Gardens, or the Gore Creek Trail. These are all beginner-friendly and walkable from town.
To hike, search for Strawberry Lane or Meadows Loops. There are also some beautiful hikes just outside of Vail like Grouse Creek, Meadow Mountain, or Beaver Lake.
You have the option to JOIN US for an optional hike up the Strawberry Lane trail in Vail, starting at the Gondola, Friday morning at 10am.
BIKING
The Gore Valley Trail is great! Accessible from either Lionshead Village or the Vail Village and it is paved the whole way. You can use this trail to bike to Minturn, Avon, and even Edwards.
To rent cruisers, e-bikes, or mountain bikes, check out Vail Bike Tech or Base Camp - Venture Sports!
FISHING
October is still a great time to fish! If you’d like to book a Fly Fishing Guide, we recommend Fly Fishing Outfitters! Their website has plenty of great information to book a fly fishing guide, or you can even rent equipment to go out on your own.
GOLFING
Vail has some great public courses that will still be open! The Eagle Vail Golf Course, Beaver Creek Golf Club, or the Vail Golf Club.
SPA
We love the Sonnenalp Spa!
